I think everyone, even the most popular and successful people, feels lonely sometimes. What is loneliness? Is it the absence of people around you, or something else?
As for me, loneliness isn't the absence of people in general, but the absence of people who really understand you. You may be lonely and at the time you may be surrounded by hundreds or thousands of people. At the beginnig, this feeling hurt me so much, when I felt lonely. Over time, I got used to it. It was hard and I thought of my death countless times. You may say I was a fool and you won't be mistaken. Anyway, those times are in the past and I get along with my loneliness nowadays. I remember the quote at such cases: "What doesn't kill us makes us stronger." Have I become stronger? I still don't know. However, I got the possibility to do away without people and rely only on myself. What have I paid for the symbiosis with loneliness? My love and trust to people have become the price.
What is loneliness for you? How do you cope with it? What is better, to be lonely or not?
P.S.: I've broached the intimate subject. So, if you don't feel free to share your reflections in public, you can feel free to share it with me in private.
I think loneliness is due to lack of self-confidence and having a lot of leisure time . You are afraid of making new friends or increasing your knowledge with an existing friend or relative , In my opinion to eliminate this terrible feeling you have to try to be a volunteer in any charitable organisation or try to help poorer people to stay in touch with the society and feel that you added value to the world , it's also a good way for killing the time
