I think that ideas should be free, but It must be noted that there will be consequences from how people react to the content. Even if free speech or free artistic expression is allowed by low, people will tend to be critical of works that challenge every day social norms and structure. I don't think the government has a place in limiting speech, I believe that is the role of citizens in society, not a federal figure. 

There is no overall freedom in the world.  Everyone living and working in a society must be limited to culture, law, atmosphere, institutions...etc and people are unable to be totally free from the society.
