Lets learn some homophones (also known as homographs or homonyms)  Homophones are words that are pronounced the same as another word but differ in the meaning. It can be spelled the same (ex. rose (type of flower) or rose (past tense for rise) or differently ( principal (head of a school) or principles (rules).

Here are some examples:
All ready, already.

We have purchased our tickets, packed our suitcases and were all ready to board when we were informed that the plane had already departed. 

ball, bawl
When the ball bounced over the fence and out of reach, the child began to bawl and sob.
