Today's phrase - to rub off ( 2 meanings )
Hi! I try to learn 5 phrases every day.
One of the phrases I learned was - to rub off ( 2 meanings ).
Finally her enthusiasm rubbed off on all of us.
Rub off outer skin and dice a beetroot up.
Does a native speaker say it like that? Is it casual speech?
Thank you.
PS I have found some references to this phrase at BBC site as well.

@Terry. Yeah I persevere and take language study challenges in (my) stride!
Thank you for support! I've just got premium membership, so not limited by 2 posts a day any more. It's going to be more fun!

Alexey!
Your enthusiasm is rubbing off on me!
The second one reads a bit awkward to me. Based on what I am perceiving... "Rub off the outer skin of a beetroot and dice it up."
That's my input. Cheers!
