Supermarket or Traditional Market

Supermarket or Traditional Market?
which one do you prefer?
In a traditional market, you will hear vendors peddling and people bargaining, I love the hospitality!
Also, I love the food is packed and certified in a supermarket.
So it is not easy fo me to choose which one is the better.
How about you? which one do you prefer?

In the U.S. we don't really have what you are calling traditional markets.  We have something called Farmers' Markets, but you can't haggle over the prices.  And the prices are usually fairly high at Farmers' Markets inside the city.  I can just imagine what they would say...

$3.50 a pound for cherry tomatoes?  Are you crazy?  I'll give you $1 a pound.

I'm pretty sure they would just stare at you in disbelief.

Interesting topic, Alashi!

For my normal grocery shopping, I prefer to go to a supermarket. The prices are set, and I can get a fair rate for the fruits, vegetables, meat, and fish I usually buy.

Sometimes though, I enjoy going to a traditional or street market to see some exotic things or to buy products directly from the locals.

It depends on the products I'm going to buy. If I need to buy meat, chicken, fish or sth similar; I prefer going to the supermarket. Dog food. My hygienic-items I acquire there as well.

As for vegetables, fruits, and some other things, I go to the marketplace. You can get better products there, fresher, healthier, and cheaper. Besides, I love the smell of fresh vegetables!
