My Wife Knows Everything vs. The Wife Doesn't Know

That's my favorite horse race. What's yours? Non-English race calls are welcome.

Then you are a horse whisperer? It's just a joke... Thank you for extending my word lists from #14.500 to #14.505! :-)

+Ali. I like being around horses. Riding them was never a big thing with me. Those vehicles that they pull, by the way, have various names in harness racing: jog cart (for training a horse); sulky or bike (for racing a horse). Here’s some other harness racing terminology from Standardbred Canada, in case you’re interested:

I like horses, and once I have tried to ride one of them. It was not the best idea! Maybe I should purchase one of those nice vehicles which names I don't know?

Good luck with the shadowing technique.

Groussac, thank you for the tips. I want to reply later when I've checked them all. The idea of the shadowing technique (thanks for the correction) is based on the use of media like video or audio books. And yes, one must speak out the monologue (if you don't decide to speak the role of every speaker there) in an adequate speed, rhythm and 'melody'. It's a bit like slave work or imitating like a parrot, but it helps (sometimes). To be honest, I did not like the recording due to the topic (horse races), but rather because of the funny names of the horses!

+Ali. Ken Middleton, the Mohawk announcer, has a Canadian accent, which is good enough for anyone interested in learning North American English. Here's is a race that he called last week:

Woodbine, Mohawk Park, January 26, 2019 Race 7

Robert Geller, the guy who calls thoroughbred racing at Woodbine, has an Australian accent. His diction if very clear, his race calls are very precise, and he's the guy to listen to if you're interested in an Australian accent. Here's his call of the 2018 Valedictory Stakes, a great race BTW:
