The pronunciation of <em>right</em> and <em>write</em> is exactly the same. There is no difference at all between them, none. People make puns (plays on words) about them. The "w" in <em>write</em> is not pronounced at all. The "g" and the "h"<em> </em>in <em>right</em> are not pronounced at all. You would expect them to be spelled <em>rite</em>, and sometimes it is--very informally, or in trade names like the pharmacy chain <em>Rite-Aid.</em>

To make things even more complicated, there is a real English word <em>rite,</em> which means a ceremony or ritual; and there is a word <em>wright,</em> which means a craftsman who builds things. Both of these words are <em>also</em> pronounced exactly the same way as <em>right </em>and<em> write.</em>

So we actually have four words with four different spellings that are all pronounced exactly the same way: <em>right, write, rite, </em>and<em> wright.</em>

The "h" in <em>white</em> is not pronounced at all, and there isn't any "r"-sound in it. You would expect it to be spelled <em>wite.</em>

From an American speaker, a clear British speaker will sound the same, for these words it will be best not to listen to British regional accents from different regions.
