Hello.
Proper nouns are just names given to common nouns to make them more specific. For example, day is a common noun, but if you want to refer to one specific day you have to use one of the specific names, like Monday.
Now, normally we do not use articles before a proper noun as it does not work according to the rules. But, there are some times you can use it:
We can meet on a Monday. --> here I am using an indefinite article 'a' because I do not want to talk about one specific Monday. I want it to be open for the person to undarstand that I want us to meet on one Monday that works for both of us. But it must be a Monday.
In other situations, like when you use a name, you have only certain times that using an article works. For example:
I speak with a friend about a person that is called Naomi. But we know 3 other people with the same name. What I can do to specify one specific Naomi is to say: The Naomi that is in our class. Here I want to specify one specific Naomi and she is the one in our class.
But in general, we always use the name alone.
For example: She is my friend, Naomi.
How are you Naomi? Naomi has a nice hairdo. Where is Naomi?
If I can give a last example. Let's talk about laptops. I like laptops from the brand HP.
I tell a friend that I want a laptop. My friend asks: What laptop do you want?
Me: An HP.
My friend: Why not an Apple?
Me: Because I have great experience with HPs.
In this conversation we are talking about the common noun laptop /personal portable computer, but we refer to some specific laptops that have a specific name. They are proper nouns HP and Apple.
I hope this helps you understand better. Good luck!

Using the with a proper noun is very tricky because a proper noun is usually a name or a place like New York you can't say the New York or the Jane or the Monday but you can say something like The New York Times as for people you can't really use the before them as for London you could use the London bridge and for days of the week you can't really use the unless you say the Monday after next but usually people will say two weeks from now hope this helps a bit
