Sawan Utsav

In Indian calendar, month of sawan is the month of rain across all regions of india. Rain come after months of scorching heat and extremely hot summers. In Sawanthe thick clouds full of water moves across sky and showers on hot earth to cool it down. The air becomes heavy with moisture and birds start singing. The rains not only pleases birds but everyone on the earth. The birds starts dancing and singing. Peacocks comes down from forests and starts dancing. The trees get fresh look after showers and look brilliant. The weather becomes vibrant all of a sudden and people become full of energy and their tired looks vanishes. They become involved in festive like activities. They enjoy by involving themselves in outings and parties in the shelter of historical monuments and picnic spots. They enjoy by eating nice food, wear good clothes, dance and do full scale masti to celebrate sawan. Young girls ties ropes on a branch of a tree and enjoys swings on it. This is popularly called as SAWAN KE JHULE.

यूँ तो सावन का रंगीला मौसम हर किसी को झूमने पर मजबूर कर देता है। चारों ओर हरियाली, ठंडी-ठंडी पवन की मदमस्त बयार, बारिश की रिमझिम और सखियों का साथ। फिर कैसे दिल मान सकता है सावन में बिना झूला झूले..., यही तो मौसम है अपनी सखियों के साथ जोर-जोर से सावन के गीत गाकर आम के पेड़ पर डले झूले पर मस्ती करने का। 

यही वह अल्हड़ सावन है, जिसे भगवान शिव के विशेष मास के रूप में जाना जाता है। फिर क्यों न मस्ती के साथ थोड़ी शिवभक्ति भी हो जाए, जिसके लिए भगवान भोलेनाथ को प्रसन्न करने के लिए हर सोमवार पर व्रत रखना भी जरूरी होता है।
