Very much so. Most people have agendas, especially media. You can learn a lot from peoples views. In some cases peoples views are just a reflection of a government controlled media, but even this sculpted opinion can be interesting.

English correction:  people's  The apostrophe is different from the comma.  No space is required after an apostrophe, but one space is required after a comma.  Also, nominal sentences require verbs.  You need to write "I am really happy''.

Most of us who discuss topics at italki care very deeply about the opinions of others.  We also rely on them to correct our writing, even in our native language.

Personally, I care about the feelings of others even if they simply wish to respect my opinions.  I am not here to change the opinions of others except with regard to written English.

Messages also may express deep personal feelings about an issue, and of course, I will have "care" for that. I will not "care" in the same way when someone discusses mundane issues of Politics, Religion, Social Customs and Problems, and so forth.

When a person expresses a Philosophical idea, I will "care" because I have a keen interest in all Philosophical Knowledge.

What I care a great deal about, is guiding people into functioning as an adult, rather than a "wounded little child" with "hurt feelings" everytime someone proposes that Logic and Fact be the common standard for dialogue.

How about yourself? What are your further thoughts about your discussion topic?
