I´m new to the site too and learning Brazilian Portuguese. You would have received the introduction message which has some pointers.

One thing missing here is the ability to "follow" a discussion - unless I just can´t see the option anywhere. Hence my comment. Now I guess I can track this thread?

I´ve used a variety of free websites in the past. I guess the strength of this site will be the ability to message real people in language exchange once you feel comfortable with the layout etc., and to use paid tutoring time to focus in on any particular aspects.
