Could you share with me something about Christmas day in your country?

In my country, everybody are so excited to preparing for Christmas. In that day, my family and I would go to the church, after that we had a small party to celebrating the day that God was born. We had a lot of delicious food such as turky, soup and beer. We wish all the best thing to each other and sing Christmas songs together. That is my Christmas in Vietnam, How about your Christmas?

When the children were young, we had a family tradition of reading certain books, which we now read to our grandchildren:

Dr. Seuss, How the Grinch Stole Christmas

Raymond Briggs, Father Christmas

We would always decorate the tree together. We used nothing but unbreakable ornaments. A long time ago we learned how to make a chain out of carpenter curls--we made them by planing the edge of a board, and if you get everything just right you get nice curls that look like rings and can be interlinked--so we have some homemade chains of wooden curls we hand on the tree.

Your English is brillant! Keep going!

(I'm not a native and my English is not the best. It's absolutely possible, that I've missed something or even corrected something which was right. I just saw, that no one corrected your topic yet)
