I hope that I can if I keep practicing since practice makes progress. \\^_^//. This is the paragraph in my textbook and I usually practice reading this text. I think there are some sounds that I can hardly pronounce the consonant clusters rightly and smoothly like "rd" in word, yard, "gr" in grow, etc. Okey, I won't give up. Fighting \\^_^//

His gray feathers turned snowy white. His gangly neck became long and graceful. beautifully smooth.

In early spring, the ugly duckling is was swimming in a small pond in the back yard of the old farm. He sees saw his shimmering reflection in the clear water. What a great surprise! He is was no longer an ugly duckling. He has had grown into a lovely swan.

Can I have American accent without living in that country? I hope that I can, if I keep on practising since practice makes progress. \\^_^//. I think there are some sounds that I can hardly cannot pronounce enunciate the consonant clusters rightly correctly and smoothly like "rd" in "word", "yard", "gr" in grow, etc. Okay, I won't give up. You need to write in a past tense when you are telling a story.  All the events had happened in the past, imaginary or not.  You can speak in any accent you want if you have a good hearing.

 

Some of your pronunciation is not correct.

 

Swan - sounds like  "swarn"

bird   - you need to enunciate the "r" sound a little more.

pond -  sounds like pawnd.

 

On the hold, I can understand you very well.  Keep up with the good work.

我觉得有一些音很难发正确和流利,像yard单词中的"rd" ,grow中的 "gr",等等。好吧,我不会放弃的,加油~
