I'm a little sad today because I've been thinking too much.

It is unnecessary to worry about only too trivial things. Keeping your mind open and writing down your sentiment here are best ways to vent your adverse emotions.

"Because today I have been thinking too much."

 

I hope you are not worried that you think too much. Thinking deeply is a strength, not a weakness.

 

If you find that you are thinking too much about yourself or people around you, try walking outside and thinking about something unrelated to you and to other people. For example, think about why the sky is blue (why is it not green or yellow?).  Why do flowers have many colors, while trees have only a few colors?  Why are most buildings square?  Why are windows square, why not round?  Why are some smells nice, while others are awful?  Why is it pleasant to stand on rough ground rather than smooth ground?

 

You might also try meditating.

 

I don't mean to tell you what to do.  These are just things that have helped me when I feel melancholy.  (Perhaps that will be a new word for you.)
