You should explain which methos is more effective giving reasons in support of your answer. 220-260 words in an appropriate style. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ There is a common agreement that the our current educational system is not answering effectively to the young people demands on finding a proper job that really meets their needs, abilities and interests. Schools and universities provide them with different methods in order to deal with this relevant task but here one question arises: are they truly effective? Careers advice supports students with information and guidance on how to find the right career by supplying them with hundreds of career profiles for a wide range of jobs. Personally, I find this rather useful but not enough since it omits the practical issues. Some young people recognise that they do not need only information about their future careers but also meaningful practical learning that guides them properly through this mission. From this point of view and despise its limitations, programmes such as apprenticeship or traineeship are more effective since they combine both working experience with on-the-job training skills. They usually take between one or four years to complete and cover hundreds of job roles in a great variety of industries. In addition, it allows students to earn a salary while working. In the view of the above arguments, I firmly believe that work experience programmes are the most effective method. Meanwhile career advice focuses on theoretical knowledge, on-the-job training centres upon practice, and at this point I guess that everybody will agree that we learn by doing and that practice makes you perfect.
