What sport competitions are held in your school, if any? How can you become a member of your school sport team? Is it an easy thing to do? What kind of sport sections can you attend at school or in town? Oh, I have some more good news! My sister had a great birthday party yesterday! Write a letter to Jane. In your letter - answer her questions - ask 3 questions about her sister’s birthday party _____________________________________________________________________________________ Tula Russia 10.01.15 Dear Jane, It was so nice to get your letter! Sorry it took me so long to write, but I have been very busy at school. You wanted to know what sport competitions held in our school. Our school often held competitions in volleyball, basketball and football. It's easy enough to become a member of a sport team if you have desire to do sport and ready to visit every workout. Speaking of sport sections, there are many of them in my city, but the most notable ones are football and basketball sections. What about your sister's birthday party? How old is she now? Where was your party? How many guests were there? I'm looking forward to your replay! Best wishes, Marina.

Dear Jane,
It was so nice to get your letter! Sorry it took me so long to write, but I have been very busy at school.

You wanted to know what sport competitions are held in our school. Our school often held holds competitions in volleyball, basketball and football. It's easy enough to become a member of a sport team if you have the desire to do sport and are ready to visit every workout. Speaking of sports  groups** sections, there are many of them in my city, but the most notable ones are football and basketball sections groups**.

** In this sentence, you might want to say "sports teams" or "sports groups". A "team" meets regularly to practice and enter competitions (like your school teams). A "group" is casual - people can come to play the sport, but might not do competitions (or might play the sport badly, like me!).

What about How was your sister's birthday party? How old is she now? Where was your party? How many guests were there?

It is more common to say "How was the party?". The person will answer something like "It was great!" or "We had a terrible day!".

I'm looking forward to your replay!
Best wishes,
Marina.

Well done Marina! Your English is really clear and the letter sounds very natural. If any of my corrections are not clear, I am happy to explain them!
