Traffic accident in my brain
I'm a Japanese, but I live in Indonesia now, so I often use Indonesian.
I tried to speak English today, but I couldn't do so. Why? My mouth spoke Indonesian. I don't know why but my brain made show up Indonesian words only. I was really upset because I could speak English before. It was not fluent, but I could do so.
When I speak Indonesian, I use English words in a sentence because my Indonesian vocabulary is not enough. When I speak Japanese with Japanese friends who live in Indonesia, I use Indonesian words in our sentences.
When I speak English, I have used Indonesian words even though I try not to use it.
My brain is clashed. Indonesian language always clashes to Japanese and English. I have to try to separate parts of my brain. Don't clash my brain any more, please! haha
'I'm a Japanese' : I'm Japanese
'I don't know why but my brain made show up Indonesian words only' :
I don't know why, but my brain came up only with Indonesian words, . . could find only . .
'vocabulary is not enough' : vocabulary is not sufficient
'I have used Indonesian words even though I try not to use it' :
I have used Indonesian words even though I try not to use them
'My brain is clashed*. Indonesian language always clashes to . . ' :
My brain is 'clashed'*. Indonesian language always clashes with . .
*I should find a more grammatical way of saying this but it would be less poetic.
You could say "The different languages clash in my brain".
I think we all suffer from 'language clash' - it's an 'occupational hazard'
