"mopsfidel" is a wonderfull expression and it makes me smile, because it is rather old fashioned and kind of out of date. If you're talking to old people (like me), this is a strong word.

"beköstigen" is very formal and not the usual way to express your self. Sounds like "Amtsdeutsch" should be found in some laws or or on signs, which try to look "official"

Statt "Ich beköstigte sie." sagt man hier: "Ich gab ihr was zu Fressen." (was ist hier die kurzform von "etwas")
