Childhood memories.

My childhood was good. We had (spent) a lot of time outdoors. In the summer I lived with my grandparents in the country house. Nearby was a river, and we often went swimming with the kids there. Some guys were (or went) fishing. In the evening, we told telling scary stories around the campfire. In the yard we played hide and seek, volleyball, tennis, and rollerbladed. In winter we played (with the snow.) snowballs. I did not (never liked) like to play with dolls , I preferred outdoor games instead.
