The graph below shows the consumption of fish and some different kinds of meat in a European country This graph demonstrates the fish and meat consumption of a European country. It provides us a clear understanding about the amount of different kinds of meat which were consumed by the residents in this area. Three kinds of meat dropped more or less in this period. The consumption of beef and lamb per person per week decreased dramatically from 220 grams and 150 grams in 1979 to 100 grams and 60 grams in 2004, respectively. Compared with above two, the consumption of fish seems unchangeable among those years. In 1979, the consumption of fish is only 50 grams and it fell a little in the following decades. However, chicken was warmly welcomed by the local residents during those years. Its consumption starts to increase rapidly from 140 grams in 1979 and finally, in 2004, this consumption reached 250 grams. From the graph, we can be informed that chicken was taking place of the domestic animals’ meat gradually from 1979 to 2004.
