Noisy times and quiet times

Noisy times always make me nervous, because I can’t concentrate on my works and do what I want to do.
One of my biggest hobbies is reading books. I like it more than whatching TV because in that case I can undrestand the writer's way of thinking in detail. And when I find time to read books in silence with no distracting noise, I’m in heaven then. It’s the best situation I like to be in.
Late at night when everyone at home is asleep and there is no building-construction noise outside, no car passing, no children shouting, but just silence.
I remember when I lived in the dormitory in the middle of the city and I couldn’t find any quiet time, even at nights. It was a disaster for me. Cars horns had became a part of my life.
But now I’m happy that I can have some quiet times for myself to do what I want without any disturbance.

-In almost all contexts, "work" is an uncountable noun and doesn't take an "s" at the end.

-"I'm in the skies" isn't wrong, but "in heaven" would be a more native usage.

"Situation" is most often used in negative scenarios: Example: "It's a bad situation." You could say instead, "It's my favorite thing to do." <-- سبز :)
