Hi! I'm new here so sorry if I'm going about this wrong! xx "Everybody is happy" - everybody and happy are always a singular nouns. "I hope to meet new people" - You would use 'peoples" (no apostrophe) when talking about ethnic groups like "The peoples of the Americas". Otherwise, great English! :>
