Is life more comfortable than it was in the past?

Life is the most cherished possession we have. We wouldn't be able to do anything if we were not alive. Some may think that today life is easier than it was when our grandparents were children; others do not think so. I think today life is easier today and more comfortable than it was when my grandparents were children, for two reasons.

First, technology makes life much more easier than it was when our grandparents were childeren. Technology helped us do things in simpler ways, so it made life easier. For example, many years ago, when my grandparants were children, humans had to work a lot in order to earn food. They worked hard to prepare make the land prepar for cultivation. Sometimes, they worked for several months and just only prepared a small amount of land for cultivation, so there was almost always there were not enough food. Furthermore, they had many difficulties with irrigating. They just were only were able to cultivate where when they were near a river. Consequently, many times they often suffered a lot from shortage of food shortages. But nowadays, using technology helps farmers prepare enough land for cultivation in just in a some few days. Also, water pumps are used in order to provide enough water for cultivation. As a result, today we have enough food. Nowadays we rarely suffer from a lack lacking of food, which is a huge difference compared to in comparison with it was in the past. As you can see, today because of technology we can live much more an easier life than compared to the past.

Secondly, nowadays humans suffers from diseases less often than it was in the past. Today medicine is developed and most diseases can be cured just in just a few some days, whilst when my grandparents were children they had to suffer from a simple disease for a long time. Finally they healed or died just by chance. For instance, my mom told me that her grandmom had been died from a simple cold. She got a cold. Because she had to work, therefore she was not able to take a care of herself. You know, if they did not work, then they had nothing to eat. So, after some time, when she suffered from that cold, the disease developed and she died from it. Just compare this with the situation what we have nowadays. Today if you get a cold, you will be cured just in just a few some minutes and you never suffer from it. So, I don't think we could compare the convenience nowadays convienenc with the situation (OR 'the past') what we had before. As you can see, because medicine is developed humans is are more comfortable today than before.
