******* There are instances where you can use は with 好き（すき） but that isn't what you would general use. Instead, you would use が. Also, です does not require an object particle, as there is no object in general です sentences, just as there isn't actually an object in English "to be" sentences as well. When conjugating verbs, there are form changes taken rather than using ある（ありません). So in this case, 食べる becomes 食べません in present/future negative polite. And lastly, ほしい can be used to say something that translates to "I want ___" in English, but in Japanese, it is actually an adjective. Because of this, it should not take を as this is to mark the object of a sentence and adjective sentences do not have objects--only subjects and topics.
