Hi, I haven’t traveled alone as far as I can remember now. When I was a child I used to travel a lot with my parents to different places in Spain. During this time, few people traveled abroad or took planes. People usually took their car or the train during the holidays or Christmas time. The most popular places for spending the holidays were towns near or close to the coast and the villages where people were born (hometown = village where someone was born). Nowadays the trips are completely different. People travel far away from the place where they used to live and they take planes to arrive at their destinations. Furthermore people travel more than people traveled twenty years ago. Today people not only travel in the summer (seasons in English are lower-case...I know it's super confusing!) or during/for Christmas, but also throughout the whole year. ("Not only...but also...")
