When you snag something you have gotten something without any speed or force. For example, you got an excellent deal on a pair of new shoes. So you “snagged a pair of Nike shoes on sale” it is usually used when bragging Snatch is almost always used to mean you took something forcibly and would be perceived as a rude and unsociable action. “She snatched my wallet from my hand”
