It is surprising that every Japanese family has psychotic relatives. I am not
making a joke, it is true. In Japan, almost one in five people is neuropathic. At
the end of September 2021, there were 8,605 hospitals in Japan,1,076 of them
psychiatric hospitals, which make up 12.6% in total. 340,000 psychiatric beds account for a fifth of the world's beds for mental patients that remain
highly used, far above the world average. NAKAO IWATA(岩田仲生) a professor of
Psychiatry Department of Psychiatry, Fujita Health University School of
Medicine, Toyoake, Aichi, JAPAN, published in the US a report in the “Molecular
Psychiatry,” saying that a special gene called “NOTCH4” in Japanese bodies
relates to this phenomenon. SASAKI Tsukasa(佐々木 司), a professor at the
field in Tokyo University, says that one out of every five Japanese
people diagnosed as mentally ill. Conservatively, it is estimated that at
least 25,160,000 Japanese are sufferers from psychosis.
