Why do these two sentences use Past Future Perfect tense here? Like for pic1, can I say “he might be the reason you got out last year”? And for pic2,"he would never do it deliberately "?
I think there is some subtle emotion to be expressed through the past future perfect tense, but I'm not sure what it is.

The first one is more past modal of deduction really. It's just saying it was logically possible. Using “he might be the reason you got outed last year” would be ok too, even if not grammatically perfect.
The second one is because it is about a specific situation in the past, while "he would never do it deliberately" is more general.
