I have other idea about fdmaxie's question and the answers, for what maxie wanted the reciever to copy to another was not specific. Was the copy to involve maxie's original email, or the reciever's reply , or both of them? In the first case, he should 转发(forward) the original email; in the latter 2 cases, he would 发送(send, 发送is a general term for 'send (mostly used for), forward, and reply ) or 抄送(make a copy for, carbon copy) the reply or along with maxie's original email to the other one. 抄送 is used only when the copy is sent at the same time to both maxie and the other reciver. Again, 抄送 is not an everyday word, it is usually used only in official documents.
