Could someone tell me what a "holiday roster" means?

It is basically a calendar where employees fill in their names on the dates where they would like to have holidays.

It would be a list of names(usually employees) and the dates they are going to be away on holiday. But it could also be a list of available dates for holidays that employees could choose from.

It could also mean a list of people who are employed by a company to take the place of those on holidays.
