Possible is when something may or may not happen, is like a 50% chance. Probable is when something is more likely to happen than not. So we would use possible to say 'its possible that it might rain today'. or 'It's probably going to rain today'. The first sentence shows us that it may or may not rain. The second sentence shows that it is more than likely to rain.

probably = used to mean that something is very likely "I'll probably be home by midnight." "I'm probably going - it depends on the weather." "He probably didn't even notice." "Probably the best thing to do is to call them before you go." possibly = used when something is not certain; used to agree or disagree when some doubt is involved "He may possibly decide not to come, in which case there's no problem." "Do you think this skirt might be too small for her?" "(Very) possibly - she has put on a bit of weight." "Will he come?" "Possibly not."

hi cutie, "PROBABLY" is used when u r talking about sth that is likely to happen; example : the weather is probably rainy tomorrow. but "possibly is of lower chance to happen ;)" another quarrel may possibly happen if u don't agree.

Before I answer your query, let me correct first the grammar of your question, thank you. When can I use the words "probably" and "possibly". Perhaps they have similar functions: Possibly suggests something that is possible or may be realized For example: A new park to include a pond and possibly a playground. Probable suggests likely or to be expected. For example : I'll probably come tonight. I hope this would help you in choosing the best answer, thank you
