To give up, to give in
What's the difference between these verbs, when do I use them?
Is there any situation where I can use both?
Which do you use more often?

Give up= no longer try to meet a goal
Give in= allow an opponent of your opinion or will to have their way
I more often say give up than give in.

The meaning is very similar but the grammar is different.
I can give up trying to climb a mountain, or I can give in to the mountain. I can give up fighting someone, or I can give in to someone in a fight. I can give up staying awake, or I can give in to sleep.
