There are a number of other references to insanity in the clip. The hat The top hat is reminiscent of a magican, of course. It also brings to mind Lewis Caroll's insane character, the Mad Hatter, but most of all the style of the 'tall soft top hat" reminds one of the strange character, The Cat in The Hat, from Dr. Seuss. The blood The blood flowing from the couch refers to all the bizarre blood scenes we have scene in the virtual world of film. It is particularly reminiscent of the blood flowing from the walls in the movie, The Shining, which is about a man suffering from madness in his own virtual world. The black bird Perhaps a reference to the poem about a madman written by Edgar Allen Poe, The Raven.
