What does 'slash' mean?
Hi,
What does 'slash' mean in the sentence?
Is it simply 'and'?
"What modern feminists-slash-postfeminists will say they want is mutuality and respect of their individual autonomy. "

Often, when a person is writing about two things that are similar, they will be written informally with a slash between them to show the connection.
Modern Feminists/Post feminists
Houses/apartments
Sad/depressed
Happy/joyful.
It is informal and only recently have people begun to VERY informally, say "slash" when SPEAKING.

Generally Means AND-OR. i.e either AND or OR. It is generally shown by its symbol (/) but sometimes (very rarely) people say it in words too.

technically, it's an "OR",
but I guess here it can work as "and"
