"everyday" means: Commonplace, regular, run of the mill or routine. Example: "Plethora is not said in everyday language." "every day" means literally "each day". Examples: "I want to see you every day." "I've been eating tomatoes for breakfast every day." "You don't need to wake me up every day."

EVERYDAY = adjective. 1. Eating and sleeping are everyday activities. 2. Sadly, crime is an everyday occurrence in big cities. EVERY (adjective) + DAY (noun) = used in an adverbial sense. 3. Every day, without exception, she comes to work late. 4. Do you watch TV every day or every other day?
