So, does it mean that both "song" and "poem/poetry" has the same pronunciation "うた" but different Kanji? ありがとうございます。OK everyone. I got it. Actually the transliteration of Google Translate was wrong about 詩. It showed me the pronunciation as ”うた” but it's actually "し".

Well I searched for this in other dictionaries and I found modern poetry.. so this means you are right..and its also "uta " but with other meaning. ;)
