All of them are made from milk. In most cases cow's milk. Cream stays liquid, the fat portion (10 - 45 % fat) of the milk (3,5 - 5 % fat). You can put it in your coffee or make 'whipped cream' out of it to fill pastries. Butter is made from beaten cream. It comes in solid blocks. If it's not too cold you can smear it on bread. Or use it in cakes. Or for frying something in a pan. Cheese is made of clotted (/coagulated) milk-protein. In most cases it is hard, but there are soft or even liquid sorts, too. You eat it with bread or in a salad. Or you can use it to cover a dish and melt or seal it with cheese (gratin /scalloped /scolloped). Cheese can taste and smell very... aromatic. Most Chinese are afraid of using milk products. Some don't want to miss them. It's like the attitude to 臭豆腐. You like it or not.
