I live in the Washington DC area. Cherry blossoms are visually stunning but many locals run to their allergist at the thought of all the pollen. The year I moved to this area was the first time I ever suffered from a pollen allergy. I wanted to go back to the snows of winter. Summer proved to be hazy, hot, humid, and horrible with relief only in the danger of our thunderstorms.
