Hard to say because I began as a child. I think it took me 5 years (considering that I didn`t start with as an adult) to get a level which was satisfighing for me. However, I still make mistakes, some are pretty obvious some are very small. So yeah, it takes a whole life to learn any language, even your mother tounge :P. See ya

I would say around 2000 hours to become fluent. Several years of speaking before english is natural and instinctive for you. Of course, this can be achieved in less time with hard work.
