Every year I visit the USA. However, if you want to say that it was in the past, you would say: Every year I would/used to visit the USA, but I don't do it any more.. Hope this helps :)

The second one implies that you no longer visit the USA (but you did in the past)

They are both correct. The first is about something that you do every year. The second is about something that you did every year at some time in the past, perhaps when you were a child.
