I got a confusion about this expression.please help
If I want to hit it rich, I need to go into business for myself.
Can i say " to be rich" instead of "to hit it rich"in the sentence and what are the differences between them ,Thx
Both are correct "hit it rich" is just an expression that means the same thing as "get rich." I hear this expression often in U.S.A.

"If I want to be rich, I need to go into business myself," is the correct way to say it. I've never heard hit it rich before, but it may be an idiom.

it's more of an idiomatic language, even thought not entirely. You see this case is close that of "let's get a move on" and " let's move" both are correct, the same applies for " Hit it rich".
