In China, we often use "前辈" or "师兄、师姐（学长、学姐）" to adress those persons who are senior than us. How to translate these two Chinese words into English exactly? Thanks a lot.

As a general rule, you call a superior "Sir" or "Madam". To start a letter, you generally write: "Dear Sir or Madam". It suits a wide variety of situations.

To a professor, you may say "Professor" — but "Sir" or "Madam" are never wrong.
