Gündüz , öğleğin

Merhaba! şimdi SABAH saat yedi şimdi AKŞAM saat dokuz Ama GECE saat üç ve GÜN saat iki. Bu doğru mu? Gece saat üç is okay but "Gün" saat iki is not correct... Infact "Gündüz saat iki" is also not so useful in Turkish... We use it generally like this: "öğlen iki" / "akşam beş" sometimes you can also see this form: Saat öğlenin ikisi, akşamın beşi... gecenin onbiri... If the time is over midnight we use it as "gecenin biri", "gecenin ikisi" (or gece bir, gece iki) But I don't know why generally people says after 3... Saat sabahın üçü, sabahın dördü, ... beşi,... altısı (sabah üç, sabah dört, sabah 5, ...) until 12... on 12 we start to use öğlen oniki, öğlen bir, (öğlenin biri, öğlenin ikisi... until 5... (especially on winter season) May be you know there is a special time in Turkish between noon and evening.. it's called as "ikindi" but we don't use it for saying the time... But some use it on summer season, but not with the time... Just say "İkindi oldu." or "İkindi vakti." And so you can easily understand that time is around 4-5 and 6...
