happy for glad for
I am happy for you.
I am glad for you.
Can "glad" be followed by a preposition like " for"?
Or just a sentence with" that "
Iam glad that you passed.
Thanks

Yes, you can say 'glad for'. It's maybe less common that 'happy' or 'pleased', but all three adjectives can be used with 'for' in this way.

The two terms are almost interchangeable in terms of their tone, but it would be much more common to say "happy for".
You might say to a friend who just got engaged "I am happy for you".
