"Time longer than rope" meaning
What does time longer than rope means in English ? And how would you interpret it into Spanish ? literally is "El tiempo es más largo que una cuerda" isn't it ?
Thanks in advance...

Based on looking this up online, are you referring to the book of this title?
The phrase means "while you may use a rope to tie me up or hang me today, in time, your beliefs will be seen as wrong and I will be redeemed and seen as right."
So your attempts to restrict and punish me and defeat what I stand for, no matter how severe, cannot stop the truth from winning in the end.

I had to do some research as I have never heard this phrase before. It is apparently a Jamaican proverb which means "Be patient and wait for your time to come." Here is the website that I found the proverb, along with others. Be mindful that these are all written in Jamaican Patwah, not English. http://jamaicanpatwah.com/b/jamaican-proverbs-and-sayings#.VMade1WJOuY
Hope this helps :)
