1. short-sleeved shirt; long-sleeved shirt 2. In Australia we say 'shorts' for trousers (what Americans call pants) that stop above the knee. Trousers, by definition, are long. 3. yes it sounds fine.

1 and 3 are correct 2. In the US we use shorts for shorts pants and pants for long pants
