I love reading too. What I'm trying right now is reading a Chinese version of a book I'm already familiar with in English. I bought 霍比特人 from the internet. I've read the English version several times, so I already know what the book is supposed to be describing. It's helped me, because when I have problems they're purely vocabulary or grammar problems. Not problems with understanding meaning.
