- 머리털: can mean the hair as a whole or individual strands.
- 머리카락 (or 머리칼): strands of hair.
- 머리: hair as a whole. Also means head.
Nowadays 머리 (hair) and 머리카락(hair strand) are the primary words. 머리털 is an old word being phased out.
Examples:
Your hair color is good.
I'll need to get my hair cut today.
Make sure no hair is falling.
The tabletop is full of hairs.
- 그는 머리가 좋다: He is smart. (머리 hear means "head/brain")
Be careful not to get your head hurt.
