concurso: (Competition test among several candidates for a prize or job). if you are an employee and the company you work for is thinking about offer its employees a better employ then, the candidates will have to apply for the competition phase, which will be won by the candidate with the best qualifications or by their years of seniority within the company. ( this word is not used in sports.)
COMPETENCE: . companies or people that compete in a market offering or demanding the same product or service. (this word is not used in sports)
COMPETICION: Sports: Opposition or rivalry between two or more who aspire to get the same thing. For example The spanish swimmer won the competition and now he is a world champion.
TORNEO: IT's similar to competition. It is only used in sports. But it is used with sports such as: (in racquet sports )tennis, badmington, paddle, and hockey, horse riding, ... not all sports we say torneo, just a few ones.
PARTIDO: this word has a lot of meanings,for example In politics, people who follow and defend one opinion or cause. in sports means a game or match. (The manchester United won the game last night.

Hola Yumi de nuevo. Ni concurso ni Competencia se usan en deporte... para deporte se utiliza competicion, torneo o partido. Un concurso aquí en España nos referimos a un Quiz Show or a Talent show en la TV.
