What sentence is correct? What is the difference between them? 1.In cold countried people wear thick clothes for keeping warm. 2.In cold countried people wear thick clothes to keep warm. I think that the second sentence is correct. But I don't understand the difference between them.Gramatically they are both correct for me ((

*"In cold countrieS..." Aside from that mistake, both sentences are technically correct. Of course, "keeping warm" is a noun (well, gerund) in the first sentence, and "to keep" is a verb in the second sentence. The second sentence sounds much more natural though. It sounds odd to use a noun here.
